A Step Toward Fulfilling God’s Mission

Have you been to Serve Saturday? If so, you may have met Andy and Jillian Hunt who joyfully serve together as Outreach Coaches. We asked Andy a few questions about why he serves in Outreach.
“My favorite part of serving as an Outreach Coach is meeting new people who bring their families to experience what a spiritual high that serving can be.
I get to meet a lot of new people and reconnect with people that come back to volunteer each month. This has really helped make a large church community feel smaller and closer for me.
Serving in the community has been an amazing step toward fulfilling God’s mission for me. Not only do I get the privilege of serving others at outreach events, but also guiding others in the greater goal — to love our city into a relationship with God.
I never would’ve thought in a million years that I would be someone who coaches others in outreach, but I feel like this has been a God-guided journey. My family came home and shared their experience at a nursing home outreach, and my son has fond memories of a resident named Albert. I’m so glad that I said “yes” to serving in Outreach. I love being an Outreach Coach!
Would you like to reach out to our community! You're invited to our next Serve Saturday on Sept. 28 from 9am-12noon. Learn more here
