Thanks to your giving we are able to invest in growing the Kingdom through our Church Planting initiative. At our last VCC Partners Meeting, Matt shared his heart for reaching our city for the Gospel. Click above to watch his message and the full meeting.
The Goal: Launch one new church each year!
So why church planting and why now?
The borders of the Kingdom go far beyond Vineyard Cincinnati. As a church, we have recognized the need and committed to reaching the lost outside our footprint, and one powerful way to do that is by planting churches.
What will it look like?
We’ve identified and equipped leaders with a heart for underserved communities to plant new Vineyard churches. These leaders will bring the gospel in fresh ways—just like Matt Massey did over 20 years ago.
You might be asking, do we really need more churches?
The answer is YES! When Vineyard opened almost 40 years ago, it attracted those disenfranchised from their churches of origin. Statistically, it’s been shown that both new churches and those that plant new churches have a greater ability and likelihood of reaching the lost in their area.
So what’s the plan?
In partnership with Vineyard USA, Vineyard Cincinnati has committed $225,000 to the Multiply Vineyard Initiative to support national church planting efforts. This investment has already created a Church Launch School and helped us develop our own Church Planter Residency Program to equip and train the next generation of church planters.
