God Hears Our Prayers

When I worked as a 911 operator many years ago, one of the most difficult parts of the job was that I never knew how a situation unfolded once I hung up the phone.
I would stay on the line with the caller until deputies showed up at the scene, and then I'd hang up once the situation was under control.
As soon as I hung up, I would answer another emergency phone call that needed my full attention — and so it went for the entire shift.
Unfortunately, there was never closure or any time to debrief from all of those highly stressful calls and conversations. I never knew the outcome of those situations.
As I pray for our church's prayer requests, I sometimes feel the same way. I am interceding on their behalf, sending my prayers to the LORD, never knowing the outcome.
Maybe that's why it pleases my heart so much to read how God has answered the prayers of our church body. Here are just a couple of the answered prayers I've read recently:
"In November I asked for prayer for my sister who found out she had stage 4 ovarian cancer. After several rounds of chemo the cancer indicators are lessening so they can operate and her spirits and attitude are amazing. Thank you."
"I've been praying for my son and I to have more peace. He is nine. After the early service he asked to stay for the 11:30 and we are here together now. Praise God!"
Thank You, LORD, for hearing our prayers for these two individuals, and for the rest of our congregation. Thank you for blessing us with the gift of these updates. You are SO GOOD and SO FAITHFUL! Amen.
