Luke5Adventures Ault Park Hike

Vineyard Outreach is partnering with Luke5Adventures on a hike in Ault Park Saturday, May 13 from 8:30am to 12:00pm. This is a great opportunity to enjoy God's creation while serving as a group trail guide and cheerleader for those experiencing beautiful places and adventures for the first time. Have wonderful conversations and make dreams come true as you assist hikers along the trail utilizing hiking equipment specially designed for them.

ABOUT LUKE5ADVENTURES

Luke5Adventures provides hiking experiences for those who aren't physically able to do so on their own. With the help of a specially designed Rosie Chair, a group of volunteers make these experiences possible for the hiker and their family.  

Choose from a variety of roles:

  • Be part of a team guiding the hiker in the specially design Rosie Chair
  • Walk alongside and chat with the hiker and their family members
  • Monitor the trail, walking head of the group, to ensure the path is clear of spider webs, sticks, tripping hazards, etc
  • Spend time with family members back at base camp

Additional details:

  • All abilities and skill levels are welcomed
  • No experience required and training provided
  • Volunteers must be 16+ (younger ones are welcome to hike along, they just won’t be handling the equipment)
  • Family-friendly event
  • Good trail shoes are highly recommended
  • Rain or shine
