What’s in a name? A whole bunch!

CHRISTIAN RESPONSE TO LGBT has been changed to BUILDING A BRIDGE: LGBT FAITH CONVERSATIONS

We've changed the name of this three-week series. The feedback we received clued us in that we had not expressed well the heart of what this workshop series is all about. It came across as “us vs. them” which is the opposite of the purpose of the workshop. We apologize.

Workshop Goals:

  • For Christians who identify as LGBT to have a healthy place to enter into helpful dialogue regarding matters of Christian faith. We don’t want anyone to feel lonely or isolated.
  • Help Christians who feel a tension of supporting friends or family members who identify as LGBT while being faithful to their understanding of God's Word regarding matters of sexuality.
  • This is for the many people, regardless of perspective, who find the intersection of Christianity and LGBT issues very difficult to discuss in a loving, healthy way. This workshop will help people learn how to have helpful, healthy, informed, and mature conversations.
